Unisys
Offers 3D Benchmarking for CRM
Unisys
Corp. announced that it is offering the industrys
first CRM benchmarking research service--Unisys 3D
Benchmarking for CRM.
Does anyone truly know what a CRM best practice
is? No, they dont. Up until now organizations
had to rely on 'observed' best practices, containing
little or no statistical evidence to support them,
said Rich Jaso, managing partner, North American CRM
practice, Unisys, to 5 Minute Briefing. In an
industry first, Unisys 3D Benchmarking for CRM will
provide statistically-validated best practices that
allow organizations to confidently implement those
CRM programs that will best support their business
goals.
Specifically,
3D Benchmarking for CRM offers customers a multi-dimensional
evaluation of how their strategies, processes, resources
and technologies intersect and impact business performance
across the enterprise; an in-depth audit of their
existing marketing, sales, service and support functions;
a comprehensive analysis of CRM functions compared
against their peers; and a collection of benchmark
results detailing key performance indicators, operational
measures and practices and a cause and effect analysis.
The
statistically validated benchmark results will help
organizations determine what CRM practices must be
preserved, adopted or eliminated to remain competitive
in todays market. With this level of visibility,
companies can select the most powerful investments
for performance improvements, moving closer to becoming 3D
Visible Enterprises (3DVE) organizations
that can see the impact of their business decisions
before they are made. For more on Unisys 3D Benchmarking

Unisys
and Alpha NetSolutions Partner to Deliver Linux Certification
Unisys
Corp. announced a partnership with Alpha NetSolutions,
Inc. to jointly develop and certify reference architectures
on Novell SUSE LINUX-based Unisys ES7000
server platforms. The certifications are intended
to bolster customer confidence by providing third-party
validation of a solution's ability to withstand rigorous
testing and meet necessary performance requirements.
To accomplish this, Unisys and Alpha NetSolutions,
have established a solution lab at Novell's Waltham
corporate headquarters that enables partners to build
and test vertical-industry focused solutions. Using
Alpha NetSolutions industry-leading benchmarking capabilities,
the solutions are measured and certified against real
world business issues. The initial focus of the solution
lab will be on the financial services industry.
"As
the pace of Linux adoption continues to grow, especially
in financial services, Unisys is leading the way by
partnering with Alpha NetSolutions and Novell to certify
Linux-based solutions for our customers," said
Michael Pregler, director, Global Solutions, Unisys.
"In this capacity, Unisys is continuing to demonstrate
its commitment to the delivery and support of enterprise-class
open source solutions."
Alpha NetSolutions will conduct reference architecture
testing on equipment furnished by Unisys. Over time,
the partners plan to expand the reference architectures
to include additional vertical market applications.
At the onset, the partners are targeting business
intelligence and database-oriented applications.
"The financial services community is recognized
as being one of the fastest adopters of Linux in today's
marketplace," said David Jodoin, chief executive
officer of Alpha NetSolutions. The opportunity
to work with Unisys to develop certified, financial
services reference architecture solutions "will
continue to further the acceptance and viability of
SUSE LINUX for enterprise class Linux deployments,"
he added.
"Novell is focused on moving Linux deeper into
the enterprise data center. To succeed at this, we
need a strong partner ecosystem," said Hal Bennett,
vice president of alliances for Novell. "This
combination of Alpha NetSolutions' deep experience
proving the enterprise-readiness of combined hardware
and software technologies, and Unisys heritage in
mission critical computing, provides an important
new step forward in building out this ecosystem around
SUSE LINUX." For more information on ES7000 servers
